Deviation Actions
Every so often I come up with some bizarre ideas for villains at work (it's a brainless job half the time, so I can work and create at the same time ). So since I don't have time to do the normal rejected villain profiles right now, here's a weird idea for a villain that may or may not show up in the comics.
---
Today's Villain: The Bug Brigade
Synopsis: The Bug Brigade was originally a group of impressionable kids that had big dreams of one day becoming superheroes. These dreams were realized sooner than expected, thanks to the intervention of the Shard Master, that granted them the powers they desired through the use of Star Shards. However, during their first outing, the shards simultaneously exploded, corrupting the children with Shard Radiation and turning them all into monstrous shard mutant versions of their heroic personas.
Powers: Besides the usual Shard Mutant abilities, the Bug Brigade all have powers based on the insect they mutated into. So for example, Beetle Boy (pulling a random name out of a hat here) would have unbreakable carapace, winged flight, increased strength, and possibly the ability to shift the earth around him. The other members would have similarly themed powers.
Additional Notes: The big moral issue with the Bug Brigade is that while they're near-mindless monsters, going around slaughtering people, they are also still kids, whose parents are worried sick wondering what has happened to their children. This would be one of the biggest moral conflicts that the Immortals would have to deal with, and their actions during their dealings with the Brigade would determine how exactly they treat Shard Mutants from now on; whether they kill them out of mercy, or whether they spare them in hopes for a cure (likely the latter).

I hope you guys enjoyed that. I'll upload these Q.V.I.'s every so often I think, to gauge different ideas, and see what sticks with people. They should also make for a good reference should I want to create a few quick Rejected Villain Profiles, and I'm short on ideas (not that that's been too much of a problem before...)

Coming in 2022...
So long story short, Nexus is going to be going on an extended Hiatus (mostly due to Spider-Man: No Way Home possibly shaking my confidence in this kind of story idea, and wanting to shift to smaller scale stories...). In short, I really don't have the energy to keep telling Stories revolving around the Eldritch and all the Cosmic nonsense I can barely keep straight. So starting in 2022, I'm basically doing what I did with the Immortals. Rewinding back to the last major point where I felt my stories had focus, and continuing on from there. In this case, that's the conclusion to World's End, and the End of the original Invinci-Girl Series, almost 2 years ago. We'll be picking up with a new story, taking on some developed ideas from the past two years, and following a brand new team. The comics will still be in the Deviant Universe, and Nexus may eventually be picked up again, but again I need a break from big apocalyptic storytelling. I'll be updating everyone's character
Status Update on Immortals
Hey guys, long time no speak. So I've been kind of all over the place with my artwork for quite a while. Last few years haven't been entirely easy, living in an abusive household, dealing with panic attacks, then Covid hit, and then I came out as a Trans Woman, so I was focusing on that for a while. Point is, my effort and attention hasn't been towards my comics for some time, and even before I started dropping off, I haven't been entirely happy with my work either. So I'll do my best to fill in the blanks with the various 'holes' in my gallery, and keep you informed on what's coming next. First off, the original Invinci-Girl series is staying unfinished. I debated going back several times and providing a proper conclusion, but at this stage I'm just done with it. Same unfortunately goes with Invinci-Girl Alliances, as that was my attempt to continue the original series after all the Summer Crossover business going on in the Deviant Universe. I tried to force some pages since

And we're looking at assembling the team from entries submitted to this Contest.
The Rules of the Contest:

- The character's art must be in colour.
