Funny thing, this answer had to be redrawn due to photoshop eating the file. Also, it's probably not the answer some were expecting from Engi. He can indeed eat food, and has a sense of taste. However, the food's molecules are simply broken down into basic components, and the energy released from the splitting of it's particles recharges his Core and his Nanites.
